Free Map Friday - The House at the End of the Street

This weeks map is a variation on the last one, but just a bit more sinister. What exactly is going on here? Is it a cult? a rogue wizard? Teenagers "just trying to scare their friends"? What ever you come up with I hope you enjoy using this map. Let me know how it turns out- tag me in a post or drop me a line. Patreon patrons will get the high resolution versions at the end of the month.

You can get it here.
Instead of donating to the Phoenix Children's Hospital Foundation this month, I'll be redirecting those funds to help RPG author Jim Ward.

By now many of you have seen this GoFundMe going around the past couple days to help Jim Ward with medical costs.  While I've never met Jim Ward, he has left an indelible mark on my life through his work. I owe him much gratitude for the endless hours I have spent playing his games. I had been trying to decide how I would help and then +Tim Shorts posted that he would be donating a portion of his Patreon to Jim's GoFundMe. Since I already donate 20% of my Patreon support to The Phoenix Children's Hospital Foundation, it would be easy to redirect those funds to Jim's immediate need.

Just as Tim did, I encourage the other folks who have a Patreon or have enjoyed Jim's work to pledge.  If you can maybe toss a few bucks in, whatever you can afford.

When I started my Patreon my 8 year-old son was in the hospital with a major infection. I made the decision then that every month a percentage of my Patreon would be earmarked for the Phoenix Children's Hospital Foundation. It was not a financial hardship for our family, but there are many out there who cannot afford proper care and often even if the medical bills are covered, we often forget about the other external expenses that need to be taken care of by the families.

If it wasn't for my Patreon supporters I wouldn't be able to do this.  I thank everyone of them for the privilege of allowing me to help out someone whose work I've enjoyed over the years.

Free Map Friday - Modern Living Spaces

There have been a few requests for more modern style maps, so I as I was working on the Tudor style modular tiles, I thought I would also make some modern style tiles. These tiles tend to need a little more work since there is so much more variety in the modern world than what we generally expect in the medieval fantasy style world.

This was created with 9 basic squares. I'm also working on some business tiles like a connivence store, pawn shop, and restaurant. If this is something you would like to see more of, let me know.

You can download it on my Patreon page over here.

Free Map Friday - The Inn

Here's a quick map I put together this week featuring last month's street tiles and a few of the building geomorphs I'm working on for this month's Patreon. (Modern versions are also on my plate for either this month or early next.) I expect these to be an on-going project since there are so many possibilities for interior layouts and furnishings.

Please let me know what you think and how you use it. As usual you can get the file here at the Patreon site.

Free Map Friday - Mauser's End

Continuing with this month's theme of city tiles, this week's map is derived from the first city map from a couple of weeks ago, but I decided to add some fiddly bits to the tiles and move some things around. There's a lot going on in this one and I'm hoping to translate all of the components to 2.5D for Patrons this month so that this map could be built on a tabletop. Rooftops are next. Let me know what you think.

You can get them here

20% of my Patreon proceeds go to the Phoenix Children's Hospital Foundation. To date we have donated over $75!

Free Map Friday - Beneath The Alley Of The Mouser

After finding an obscure trap door, your party follows it down in to the sewer system of the city only to discover a secret temple; or is it a crypt? Why is there a statue and a sarcophagus in the the city sewer system? Was it built on top of an ancient temple,  or has someone or something moved in?
You can get the three versions of this map here at my Patreon page.

Free Map Friday - Mouser's Alley

With  two of my favorite systems licensed to create content in the world of my favorite Barbarian and Magic User duo, I can't wait to do some city crawls. This week I spent some time mocking up 2.5D tiles to get an idea of how hey might look and work together. I'll be adding more modular tiles and tinkering with roof tops; after all, you can't have a city adventure with out a cinematic rooftop chase. They are going to be great! So, for this weeks free map I present Mouser's Alley.
You can the full size image here at my Patreon page.

As for what might be lurking beneath the city streets, here's some modular tiles for when your party finds that trap door in the floor or hidden passage in the basement of the tavern:

I'll be using for the city streets.
