Free Map Friday - Words with Fiends

The village hedge mage has lost their familiar and you have managed to track it into to the edge of the Darken Forest on the border of the Savage Marches, a dark and forbidding land. The cat's trail ends at what looks like a badger hole just inside the tree line. The cat's meow can be heard echoing from below...

3"x3" Dungeon Diviners cards in use
as a random dungeon generator.
This week as my oldest son and I were playing around with Dungeon Diviners cards and ICRPG cards we came up with a small map and an adventure seed. I was inspired to take that to the next level.

All Patreon supporters this month get the hi-res watermark free files of the map, a bonus micro-adventure, and 9 new Dungeon Diviners tiles!

Add some desert terrain to your encounter!

Maybe you shouldn't have made that left turn in Albuquerque, perhaps you shouldn't have insulted that nicely dressed man in the casino, or perhaps that old silver mine was only a legend after all. However you found yourself in this godforsaken place, you never thought you would be asking yourself, "If a voice cries out in the wilderness and it goes unheard does it make a sound?"
...and what's up with those kids on BMX bikes?

Desert of The Damned includes a full 30 x 35-inch map as well as 11 modular 9-inch hexes featuring the Hexomorfo system.

The printable tiles were designed to be used as print and play or as a complement to the 2.5D tile creation method created by DM Scotty.

Also included are a full set of files for Virtual Tabletops.

Let me know how you use it!

Add "Take the M Train" to your encounter!

A subway station map inspired by Jack Kirby's post-post-apocalyptic comic book, Kamandi the Last Boy on Earth, the Morlock stories from The Uncanny X-Men series from the 80's, a little TMNT adventure I've been toying with for my kids, some Thundaar the Barbarian, Dave Joria's Masters of Umdaar, a bit of the Ghostbusters 2 movie, Matt Jackson's subway map from way back in January, Just Insert Imagination's Mutants & Tassels, and a CoC style horror scenario I've been mulling over.

Free Map Friday - Well of the Ancients

Children of Graystone are missing and the the goblins of Graystone Vale have a secret...

In the village of Graystone there is a story told to little children about goblins who used to steal unruly children in the night, but the events of the past suggest that it is not just a story. First there was the mystery of the dissapearing stockings--every left stocking in the village just vanished overnight, then the sheep started to dissapear, now it's worse, much worse.

Free Map Friday - The Shrouded Sepulcher, Part 2

You've crossed the swift water of the frigid river, maybe you safely crossed the rotting bridge, or just barely made it through the icy waters and managed to climb the steep rock cliffs, but you've discovered the hidden entrance to the Shrouded Sepulcher and discovered the cave of mystery. Be careful of wild beasts, wandering monsters, and traps as you explore this ancient tomb to discover the hidden mysteries within...

Free Map Friday - The Secluded Sepulcher: Part 1

High in the Dragon's Spine Mountains and deep in the Savagelands lies a hidden cave that is said to hold an ancient relic that may be your only hope in the fight against chaos. The way is hidden and dangerous and no one who has gone in search of this relic has ever returned.

I'm currently working on a system of modular wilderness and cave tiles based on hexes. I feel that hexes are a better fit for organic shapes so I want to see if a simple modular system can be designed to allow quick table builds that can be arranged and rearranged to represent almost any encounter.
Patreon supporters will get hi-res printable PDFs and a logo free hi-res JPEG of the full map.

All Patreon supporters this month get the hi-res files of all the Secluded Sepulcher maps as well as bonus content. Patrons at the $2.50+ level additionally get bonus versions with grids.

The ancient city of Chathair Túr was once the home of Egeszfold’s most powerful sorcerers. Originally built around a tower that reached far into the sky. In the first age of the world, Chathair Túr prospered under the rule of its sorcerer overlords. While may labored to build the tower and enjoyed the show of ingenuity, the rulers worked their arcane powers to breach the very gates of Heaven. This peace and prosperity was shattered when the true intentions of the rulers were revealed when the veil between heaven and earth was torn. It wasn’t a doorway into heaven however and through the portal poured into this world great cosmic horrors that were never meant for this world. The great creator god Egysten took pity on his creation and destroyed the tower in a great cataclysm. Today all that remains today is a floating island city rumored to be filled with untold treasure, arcane artifacts, and unknown horrors. While the floating Ruins of Chathair Túr remain a monument of an age that has since become the inspiration for myths and legend, deep in the underground ruins something stirs...
